Bridesmaid Speeches – Stress, Panic and Finally Joy!

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Hello Cassie here,

Click here if you’d like to skip right to the solution I found for easily giving unforgettable bridesmaid speeches.

If you’re looking for the best way to prepare your bridesmaid speech (or Maid of Honor speech), then I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading…

Because this my uncensored story. The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work and finally the one thing that did help me achieve my goal of giving a wedding speech that would leave everyone in the audience speechless.

My “Day of Judgment” was looming ever closer as my sister’s wedding approached.

The joyous occasion that her wedding day should have represented was severely marred by the stress and stage fright that I was experiencing over a minor technicality and custom that’s performed millions of time each year by women everywhere: the dreaded bridesmaid speech.

When my sister initially approached me about being her Maid of Honor, I was incredibly excited! It’s a rare gift to commemorate a loved one’s marriage and celebrate the life the bride and groom will have together with a speech.

I knew that my sister was showing her respect for me by offering such a large role in her wedding day.

I was extremely flattered…until I actually started trying to write it. I remember thinking, “How do all those other bridesmaid speeches get written so easily by everyone else?

I had to face facts. I wasn’t able to produce the bridesmaid speech that I knew my sister deserved, and as the days flew by I became more nervous about how the speech would go.

I was contemplating cancelling my speech when I stumbled across a book that helped me write the perfect bridesmaid speech for my sister…in less than an hour!

Click here to see how I quickly solved my problem.

After the hours I spent stumped by what I wanted to say and how I wanted to say it, this book showed me how to organize my speech into an unforgettable one that everyone, and most especially my sister, loved.

The book that helped me, simply called Maid Of Honor Speeches, is a step-by-step guide that focuses on the development of your speech while also providing numerous examples of sample speeches, and even toasts.

These samples helped give me the confidence to express my thoughts and feelings into a speech worthy of my sister’s wedding.

The step-by-step guide’s most helpful feature for me was the sample humorous, yet heart warming sample speeches that are provided. The package includes over 20, but inspiration hit me after I read a particular one that I felt was made for my sister and her husband.

Our situation was practically mirrored in the sample speech, which made it that much easier to write my own. The package also included over 100 toasts.

To be honest, I took one of the toasts word for word and everyone loved it!

Also, the package included great one-line jokes; I only used a few but the ones I used fit very well into my speech as a whole and kept everyone laughing without detracting from the seriousness of my speech.

In addition, the package included quotes and poems that I drew from. All of these sources were organized by the guide and helped me write a bridesmaid speech my sister will always remember.

With the confidence, etiquette, and speech that Maid of Honor Speeches helped me find, my sister and I grew that much closer. Halfway through my speech she began to cry, and I have never seen happier tears in all my life.

From my experience, I would highly recommend Maid of Honor Speeches to anyone who’s looking forward to giving one of the most memorable bridesmaid speeches possible, on someone’s special day. :)

About Me

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Cassie - Fearless writer of bridesmaid speeches!Hello, Cassie Woods here. I’m 29 years old and I enjoy most outdoors activities as well as curling up with a good book. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors with Dean Koontz being a close second.

I love weddings (especially my own!) and I’ve been a bridesmaid more times than I can count (well not really, but it seems that way).

My first time was when i was just 12. It was exciting. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. Unlike a lot of women, I actually still enjoy being a bridesmaid or a maid of honor when called upon by a good friend.

I’m pretty confident now when I’m called on to make a bridesmaid speech or a maid of honor speech. In fact, I’ve given quite a few bridesmaid speeches. But those first couple of times terrified me! If you’re getting ready to prepare one, I hope I can offer you a shortcut to success with the information here on my blog.

Turns out giving a good wedding speech is not complicated once you know a few basics. In fact, it's way easier than giving a book report in front of the whole class like I had to do in high school! Some of the reasons are: ? It doesn't have to be a long speech! ? You can tell a couple jokes ? No one really expects you to be a "professional speaker" ? If you mess up, it's ok - because it's a wedding ...

Moment # 2 – Conflict – "Keeping life interesting: find the conflict."

Conflict is necessary for us as human beings. We need much as we need air and water. Sometimes we win. Sometimes we lose. Sometimes there is a defined solution, and conflict is their own experience.

Conflict us can break to mourn. You can also make us happy, especially when we won a situation and are victorious. Conflict makes us think. It keeps us alert. This makes us react, and forces us to learn. Can make our blood boil. In fact, without conflicts, without the possibility of failure or the potential for success in life would be completely boring.

Some examples of conflicts:

Conflict in a relationship: conflict is inevitable when you're dating or when you are married. It may be minor conflict. (You and your girlfriend discuss what we see on TV.) Or you can be an important form of conflict. (Her husband is an alcoholic and has become physically abusive toward their children.)

Conflict in the movies and books: any book of fiction or film is filled with conflict successfully. Sometimes movies are so full of conflicts that make us physically tired and mentally exhausted by the time they are over. Have you ever felt like a movie? If you have, chances are strong that you just see a great movie.

Conflict at work: We can enter into an argument with a colleague on the whereabouts of the favorite pen. We have a conflict, when we fail to meet the needs of our customers, and that we face.

Conflict in sport: racing against someone (or see someone compete) is one of the strongest forms of conflict. The more civilized society, the greater the demand for sports. Professional athletes pay large sums of money because the average American has become sedated. Our culture conditions us to a lifestyle that allows safe and monotonous existence cohesion of our society. We go to work, go home and watch TV. We pay our taxes. We live our lives in a way to keep a nation peaceful. Although the works, I believe we must put our human spirit to sleep to the point that we must look to a TV and get our "fix the conflict "by watching others compete. I do not see this changing anytime soon, because where else are we to get physical conflict, without the risk to break any law, go to jail or getting hurt? Whether you sit in a chair and watch sports events on TV or you are really a participant in a sporting event, sports a long way to satisfy our human need for conflict. Most people have very few conflicts in their lives, and its solution conflict easier is the search to see sports. Coming home from work, turn on the television, and wait for the "great game" for begin.

Other examples of conflicts:

You address someone on a lie.

Your car will not start.

Their daily struggle for awakening and get to work on time

Apart from the legal and moral beliefs, the conflict is conflict. From that perspective, a bank robbery is a very strong conflict that will enhance the human experience to a degree that most people can never feel. However, the impact of being a bank robber may not be as fun. Sky Diving is another great form of conflict (potential conflict with the ground terminal). Want to survive the fall, or go to the pumpkin yourself?

There four categories of conflict:

Direct physical conflict: a boxing match or a football match, rugby, karate party, fencing, bullfights, wrestling

Indirect physical conflict: a game of baseball, football, horse racing, marathon

Indirectly mental conflict: a game of chess or checkers, an argument, the game show "Jeopardy", a video game

In conflict with itself: Discipline yourself not to buy that donates every morning going to work, telling yourself not to call her ex, telling yourself not to drink, disciplining himself to study for that next math test, bite your tongue when you love someone says something hurtful

I think most of the People define retirement as conflict-free: no more boss, without having to drive to work, no more deadlines, no more alarm clock. I have a different perspective. By eliminating the work and the opportunity to work with it brings conflicts, I think are potentially the cultivation of a sedate lifestyle. In any case, retirement should mean that it's time to experience the kind of conflict that is most appealing and more difficult for ourselves. It is the moment of our life where we can choose the situations rattle us most.

Conflict is a necessary part of human experience. Delete it and life becomes almost as exciting as a piece of toast. To keep life interesting, here's the answer: find a conflict. We hope you can find a conflict that is not life threatening yet has an element of loss / victory is attributed. Moreover, perhaps life threatening conflict is the best way forward.

Cheap Area Rugs are abundant in the market today, and we see examples of them everywhere. Some are imports with rich textures and beautiful inlaid designs, while others are national and are rather simple, but durable. Everyone knows about these blankets, but not many people understand the long history that all types carpet and have many of them out even predate modern world.

The oldest known representation of a carpet is cheap as far back in history that the country name has changed. The earliest example of terracotta were stamped and went all the way back to Sumer-land is now known as Iraq. The piece of cloth of a representation of two figures with crossed legs on it and used the technique can still be found in cheap rugs today some 25 centuries after the discovery of this artifact.

As you may be able to imagine, the collection of the history of these carpets has not been easy and while there are many collections of today, including Accent Area Rugs of 828 libraries that mimic the look of the pieces of history, not much was known about of them until after 1949 when a Russian archaeologist found some tombs in the famous area called Siberia.

It appears that a burial mound, which is like a grave was discovered some undisclosed reason, and left open. It is possible that the truck had left open in the summer of waiting for the funeral of a chief of a neighboring tribe. Although the truck is left is always left open to conjecture, the truth is that melting ice and snow ran into the truck and when the Siberian cold winter a setback in the materials that had been inside before the ceremony was frozen into a solid block of ice. Of the many interesting artifacts that remain a series of paintings and some examples of what we might call early ancestors of today's cheap carpet.

Although there were many things discovered that caught the attention of scientists and historians, the great discovery that dates back to 2500 years is what has been termed as the carpet Pazyryk. This example of one the first is still cheap rugs on display in a museum in Russia and was the subject of speculation since it was first discovered.
